Rovinj narrow streets with colorful houses and white laundry drying between historic stone buildings

Rovinj narrow streets offer an intimate change of rhythm compared to the vistas of the open sea. Walking through the old town, I captured this narrow, cobblestone alleyway in the soft, early evening light.

The vertical composition of this image guides the eye along this descending street, framed by weathered stone facades and vibrant, terracotta-colored walls. It tells a story of Mediterranean life influenced by the Venetian Republic—from the dark green window shutters to the potted flowers softening the stone steps.

What made this scene special for me is the string of white laundry hanging out to dry high above the street, stretching from one historic building to another.
