Bled Lake Foggy Morning Panorama, Slovenia captures a misty view of one of Europe’s most iconic alpine destinations. Shot after a day of heavy rain, this morning view isolates the famous island from the backdrop of the Julian Alps by layers of low clouds and heavy fog.
At the heart of the frame sits the Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary on Bled Island. While the site has religious roots dating back to pre-Christian times, the current baroque church with its distinct bell tower was built in the late 17th century.
To the right, perched high on a steep white cliff shrouded in mist lies the silhouette of Bled Castle. In the distance, the church tower and buildings of the town of Bled can be seen. A perfect ending to the 2025 road trip through Slovenia.
