Bled Island Aerial View, Slovenia shows a top-down perspective of the country’s most iconic landmark floating within the vibrant emerald waters of Lake Bled. Shot as a multi-row panorama, the teardrop shape of the island is fully visible. I really like all the elements that came together—the beautiful emerald tones of the lake, the green leaves on the trees, as well as the architecture and red roofs of the buildings.
Shot on a calm morning following a day of heavy rain, the drone perspective eliminates the horizon line, drawing all attention to the geometric symmetry and natural contours of the island. Visible at the southern tip is the famous 99-stone staircase leading up to the church and surrounding buildings. I really enjoy creating top-down panoramas, and this one turned out wonderfully at one of Europe’s most beautiful destinations.
